I have been flirting with the idea of getting involved in this movement for a while now. The gradiose of all that is wrong in the US is all encompassing so it’s hard to know where to start-especially when one considers that the bain of all left leaning movements is a lack of simplicity to rally around. I belileve this movement has great potential and it’s message truly addresses the core of it all-End Corporate Personhood. That said, Occupy Wall Street strikes me as the perfect venue to start the process of taking this movement (or at least the simple idea) national. Do you folks have a presence at OWS or any of its affiliates? If not, you might want to jump on that and I’d like to get involved if I can. I’ve never joined a political group before (despite being well informed in domestic and international affairs) so let me know what someone who’s new to all of this does next to get involved. Thanks.

      Conor,
I share your frustration, but in my opinion, don’t demoralize, organize. MTA national is working with OWS. Regarding getting involved, you can join us tonight, Thursday at 7pm, for our next DuPage Coffeehouse Move to Amend meeting. Also, Monday, 10/17/11, at 7pm, we will be meeting to plan Occupy Naperville on 10/22/11. Both meetings are at the 213 Building, 213 S. Wheaton Ave., Wheaton, IL.
